STOP RACISM

By TONY PRO

Racism a word that cuts through history, societies, and the souls of those who suffer under its shadow. It is more than just hate. It is a system built on ignorance, superiority complexes, and inherited injustice. The racist is not always a monster hiding in plain sight; sometimes, they are polite, educated, and even unaware of the damage they cause. But make no mistake racism, in any form, is a weapon.

A racist judges skin over soul, ethnicity over empathy, and culture over character. They reduce the beauty of human diversity into an ugly hierarchy where privilege thrives and potential is denied. A racist may deny someone a job, mistreat them in public, or teach their children subtle hate dressed up as pride. They may hide behind jokes, policies, or traditions but racism is always a choice. A bad one.

It’s easy to point fingers at the obvious racists the loud, the violent, the openly hateful. But what about the silent ones? The ones who stay quiet in the face of discrimination? The ones who benefit from a system tilted in their favor and never speak up? Racism is not just about words or actions it’s about systems, silence, and sustained inequality.

To confront racism, we must first confront the racist not just in others, but in ourselves. Have we been fair? Have we listened? Have we challenged the status quo or simply enjoyed its comfort? Anti-racism demands courage, conversation, and action. It starts at home, in schools, at workplaces, and in governments.

The truth is, no one is born racist. It is taught, absorbed, and passed down like a curse. But it can be unlearned. And when it is, the chains of ignorance are broken not just for one, but for all. The racist mindset must die for humanity to live fully. Because when we see each other as equals, we all rise.
