Charles A. Wiley: A Life Built on Purpose, Power, and Positivity

Born on December 22, 1962, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Charles A. Wiley is a living testament to what it means to lead with purpose and give back with power. The youngest of ten children, Charles was raised in Lincoln Heights, Ohio, a tight-knit community that helped shape the values he stands on today. A graduate of Princeton High School and Live Oaks Vocational School, Charles went on to further his education at Cincinnati Technical College from 1982 to 1984. But it wasn’t a degree that defined him—it was a calling.

That calling took form in 1993 when he founded Black Positive Brothers and Sisters, a nonprofit aimed at educating, inspiring, and uplifting African American youth. With a sharp eye for motivation and a deep-rooted belief in community, Charles launched signature events like the Youth Unity Extravaganza Scholarship Awards Banquet, leaving unforgettable impressions on young lives throughout Greater Cincinnati. His work helped shift mindsets, break barriers, and create real opportunities for the next generation.

Not one to stop there, Charles extended his impact by founding Black Positive Brothers/Motivating Youth in 2003. This initiative birthed the Stop the Violence Summit Truce, a powerful community-led movement that directly contributed to a significant decrease in youth territorial violence across the city. For Charles, activism wasn’t just about speeches—it was about structure, strategy, and sustained love for the people.

His work hasn’t gone unnoticed. Charles has been honored with a range of prestigious awards, including The Wiz FM’s Citizen of the Week, the Unsung Heroes Award from Applause Magazine, and the Martin Luther King Jr. “Keeping the Dream Alive” Award from St. Mark Catholic Church. He’s also the recipient of the Profile's Encouragement Award and proudly holds the Key to the City of Lincoln Heights—a symbol of a life poured back into the very place that raised him.

As a businessman, Charles built Quality Home Maintenance of Cincinnati from 2001 to 2008 and later founded Y.P. Home Technician in 2017, a remodeling company he still owns and operates today. His entrepreneurial efforts are more than income streams—they’re examples of ownership, dignity, and legacy-building.

In 2017, Charles took yet another step forward with the launch of Let’s Get It Productions Nonprofit. Through its Elite Youth Program, he trains young people in critical thinking, life skills, and technician-level trades—equipping them with real-world tools for success.

A published author of his own autobiography, “To God Be the Glory / We Were Born to Win!”, Charles has also been featured on national radio as both a community leader and motivational speaker. He is a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and therapeutic foster parent of over 20 years. As a therapeutic mentor for nearly two decades, Charles A. Wiley remains committed to helping others break cycles, build futures, and walk boldly in their purpose.

In every chapter of his life, Charles proves one thing: he’s not just moving—he’s moving in purpose.
